Film Director · Screenwriter · World Builder
I build worlds. Stories find their way through them.
Mithilesh Gowda R. · Bengaluru, India
From mythology and action to horror and human drama — stories driven by emotion, consequence, and cinematic imagination.
I am a filmmaker drawn to stories that leave a lasting impression — whether through action, mythology, horror, or deeply human experience.
My work explores the choices people make, the worlds they inhabit, and the consequences that shape their lives. From large-scale cinematic spectacle to intimate character-driven narrative, I make films that entertain, provoke thought, and stay with an audience long after the credits roll.
For me, filmmaking is not only about telling stories. It is about building worlds that feel alive, meaningful, and unforgettable.

A feature film in active production — genre, scale, and story remain confidential until official announcement. What can be said: this is the debut theatrical feature, built over years of preparation, now being made.
Details will be announced when the time is right.
Directing is decisions — blocking a shot, reading a monitor, shaping a performance, holding a set of dozens to a single vision. These are frames from active production.

On the floor · Scale
Before directing my own films, I learned how worlds are built at scale — inside one of the largest productions Indian cinema has ever mounted. Five years on KGF Chapter 2 placed me close to the parts most first-time directors never see until their own first budget.
How a set of hundreds is run. How action and VFX are scheduled in the same breath. How discipline holds a frame when the canvas is the size of a city. How a director's clarity — or absence of it — ripples through every department by 6am.
It shaped how I work. Ambition without control is noise. The bigger the vision, the quieter and more exact the execution must be.
Working under director Prashanth Neel on KGF Chapter 2 taught me that scale is a discipline, not a resource.

Developing original films and screenplays — including THE TREE and other feature concepts — built through story design and AI-assisted previsualization.
Directing an untitled Telugu action drama feature film, currently in active production.
Now FilmingThis is where a story becomes a world. Research, mythology, character, tone — developed through AI-assisted previsualization until a film can be fully seen long before it is shot. The Tree is the first project built this way, from a real observation into a complete cinematic world.

AI-generated previsualization and world-building. All concept imagery developed by Viraat as part of the story development process — not a substitute for production design, but a new language for pitching original IP.
For scripts in development, collaboration, or representation — the door is open to those building something worth remembering.
